Overview: 

Stakeholder Engagement training course outline is designed for delegates who are tasked with the Stakeholder engagement work. Organisations has a responsibility to communicate with both internal and external partners and get to know their stakeholders and how stakeholders influence the business. The process enables organisations and our delegates to better understand approaches stakeholders are engaged in, and plans strategies and actions to effectively take advantage of emerging opportunities. 

In this training workshop ATI provides deepening insights on the importance of stakeholder engagement, approaches or methods that can be used for stakeholder engagement, Stakeholder Identification, Mapping and categorisation. In this training workshop emphasis is placed on mapping. This refers to collaborative process of research, debate, and discussion that draws from multiple perspectives to determine a key list of stakeholders across the entire stakeholder spectrum.

Delegates will be equipped with basic negotiating skills to get to a win-win situation, participants can be in a position of stablishing the Worst Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (WATNA) and understanding Best Alternative to a Negotiated Agreement (BATNA). As a takeaway from the this course ATI will impart skills for identifying the Walk Away Price (WAP), and Zone of Possible Agreement (ZOPA).

Target Audience: 

The course is designed for management and professionals in positions of communication, Public Relations and Project Management among others.

Course Outcomes: 

Upon completing this workshop, the delegates should be able to:

 

  • Identify relevant stakeholders and undertake stakeholder analysis 
  • Determine stakeholder power with relative levels of importance and influence 
  • Forecast and determine meaningful levels of participation for key stakeholders 
  • Provide and create win–win outcomes in bargaining and negotiations 
  • Engage stakeholders, communicate, and negotiate for optimal settlement
  • Undertake comprehensive stakeholder mapping and analysis
  • Evaluate the quality of stakeholder engagement processes and outcomes
  • Understand and implement effective engagement approaches
  • Strengthen institutional support for more effective engagement processes
  • Negotiate, bargain and achieve a win-win position and deals
